SINCE 1971
We mine and manufacture high grade sodium bentonite and clinoptilolite zeolite. For over 50 years, our customers have been our highest priority. Producing a wide size range of granular and powdered products, we are one of the premier natural zeolite companies in the US. Our extensive mineral reserves are located in the Succor Creek area of Malheur County, Oregon, and the Sheaville District of Owyhee County, Idaho.
Oregon bentonite is believed to be the result of volcanic ash falling into an alkaline lake during the Tertiary age and was formed by alteration of that ash. The variety of Montmorillonite clay known as Sodium Bentonite has the property of swelling up to ten times its own weight when hydrated with water. It is used as a soil sealant in ponds and landfills, in construction of roads, the water well industry, as a binder in animal feeds, and so much more.
Zeolites: A group of naturally occurring, hydrous aluminosilicate minerals with a unique porous crystal structure. Economically mineable deposits of these minerals primarily form through the alternation of volcanic ash in desert lake systems.
Due to their unique porous crystal structure, Zeolites are capable of absorbing large amounts of water and other substances. Zeolite has uses in agriculture, industry, construction, and solidifying hazardous waste, to name a few.
